Denim Heritage Converges With the Future at Kingpins China-Hangzhou

Denim trends, Ai’s impact on the industry, and the evolution of stonewashing are on the agenda at Kingpins China-Hangzhou, during its May 21-22 run at ADM More in Hangzhou’s Gonshu District.
BeDisobedient returns to Hongzhou with its Denim Forecast, titled, “Curating the Market,” but this marks the first time the consultancy will present its forecast in Chinese. Kingpins Chief Executive Officer Vivian Wang will also lead two panel discussions: one titled “Fiber to Fabric: How China’s Integrated Supply Chain Is Redefining Denim Innovation” and another called “The New China Consumer: Beyond Price, Toward Value and Culture.”
Kingpins China-Hangzhou will feature a mix of B2B and consumer facing activities, including initiatives, installations, workshops and retail. Lil Denim Jean will curate the Lildenimmall featuring a lineup of emerging designers including Wirote; CYLIGUYA CYTO CYEMA; Atelier Yee; LurkWorldwide and VEERKRACHT.
There also will be a Fashion Show, sponsored by Dinghui Fashion, at 16:00 on Friday, May 22 and including a finale dress created by Dinghui featuring tie dye created during the show at the Simwood + WeiShan San-Yi tie-dyed industrial dyeing presentation.
