Kingpins New York In-Person Show Temporarily On Pause Due to COVID-19 Travel Restrictions and Health Concerns
Confirmed reports of travel restrictions from the international and local denim community prompt event organizers to cancel the Kingpins New York show, originally slated for June 2/3.
NEW YORK | April 9, 2020 | The Kingpins New York denim supply chain trade show will not host its June 2020 edition due to health concerns and travel restrictions related to COVID-19.
“Our biggest concern is the health of our community. We have cancelled our Amsterdam and Hong Kong events and have now made the difficult decision to cancel our Kingpins New York event,” said Andrew Olah, founder of Kingpins Show. “Thankfully, we are now in a position to continue to engage with our audience on a daily and weekly basis and are exploring new ways to gather our denim community online.”
Kingpins debuted a new website, www.kingpinsshow.com, on March 30, featuring a home page dedicated to editorial content for the denim industry, show news and more.
Kingpins24, a new online event for the denim industry, will debut on April 22/23 and represents Kingpins organizers’ attempts to unite and inform the denim industry in these uncertain times. Members of the denim industry may register for Kingpins24 here.
