The Daily Podcast – What Does Sustainable Living Look Like?

At Kingpins, we’re always looking for insight from within our industry and beyond. This New York Times story and podcast explores an interesting approach to sustainability taken by the tiny South American nation of Uruguay (population of approximately 3.5 million and a GDP of about 1/10 of Walmart). Journalist Noah Gallagher Shannon looks at the sustainability lessons that can be learned from “smaller, perhaps even less prosperous nations.” It’s not a short read or quick listen, but it’s worth the time investment if we really wish to change our environmental trajectory.
